Learn the art of Argentine Tango in an open and friendly setting.
Starting this Wednesday night, join us in Newport News for a brand-new beginner course in Argentine Tango, perfect for complete beginners and those with some experience looking to refine their basics.
Each week, we’ll explore a different topic, making it engaging for everyone, no matter your level.
When: Every Wednesday Night
Time: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM (90-minute session)
Cost: Only $10 per session (cash or card)
Venue: Libre Dance USA, 2nd studio in the back (see street address of this event)

During this course, you’ll learn:
- Fundamental steps and techniques
- How to connect with your partner and the music
- The beauty of improvisation and expression
Each session is unique, focusing on different aspects of Tango, so it’s a great opportunity to continue learning even if you’ve danced before.
No partner or prior experience is required – just bring comfortable shoes and a desire to dance!
What shoes to wear?
Shoes should be stable and have a smooth sole on the front of the shoe that allows you to pivot on the front part of your foot. If you have dance shoes (heels or sneakers), bring them. If you don’t then normal sneakers or running shoes are fine – I bring dance socks that go over their front part so that you can pivot easily.
