Welcome to Tango Vivente! My name is Frank and I’ve been passionate about Argentine Tango for over 16 years. My Tango journey began in Berlin, a city with a thriving Tango scene that captivated me from the start. With a background in ballet and performing arts, I was drawn to the creativity, improvisation, and deep connection that Tango offers.

After carefully exploring Berlin’s many Tango schools, I chose one known for its open embrace style and innovative approach. The school’s artistry and philosophy deeply resonated with me, and I immersed myself in their classes – group lessons, private sessions, and more – learning everything they had to offer. Before long, I was honored to be considered their ‘best student,’ and it was incredibly rewarding to bring what I had learned to Berlin’s milongas.

Over the years, I’ve also had the privilege of studying with internationally recognized Tango professionals, including Cecilia García, whose artistry further refined my understanding of the dance. While my foundation lies in the open embrace, I’ve since found a deep passion for the closed embrace, enjoying the play between closeness and flexibility it provides.

Now based in Virginia, I am excited to build a Tango community that blends the creativity of Berlin’s Tango scene with my personal love for connection and improvisation. My goal is to make Tango accessible, inspiring, and deeply rewarding for everyone.
